Lotus 8 Brings Esports & Wellness to Lawrence Sinclair Memorial School in Jackhead

This week, Lotus 8 had the honor of visiting Lawrence Sinclair Memorial School in Jackhead, delivering a full day of esports excitement, wellness education, and community connection. đź’ś

In partnership with MFNERC, we hosted a 2v2 Super Smash Bros. friendly tournament, bringing students together for a fun and dynamic competition. The energy in the room was electric—cheers, laughter, and plenty of unforgettable moments as students battled it out for some awesome prizes.

But esports is only one piece of our mission.

As part of our PMM (Performance Mindset Meditation) program, we also led a performance workshop focused on mindfulness, mindset, and staying locked in under pressure. Students learned practical techniques to regulate emotions, build confidence, and tap into their full potential—in gaming, at school, and in life.

Fueling the day was made possible thanks to our friends at Supplement World Winnipeg Grant Park, who provided healthy snacks to keep students energized and focused throughout the event.

And a huge shoutout to TELUS, whose jersey sponsorship continues to empower youth and give them pride as they step into the growing world of esports. Their support helps students feel seen, supported, and part of something bigger.

From competition to community, from wellness to skill-building, our visit to Jackhead was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Lotus 8 is proud to continue bringing esports and mental performance forward—one school, one student, and one moment at a time.

💜 Thank you, Jackhead. We’ll see you again soon. 💜
