Lotus 8 Empowers Youth at Dakota Plains & Dakota Tipi Through PMM Wellness Tour
Lotus 8 First Nation Esports & Wellness Tour Visits Dakota Plains & Dakota Tipi on June 4th 2025
This stop was packed with energy, connection, and a special surprise: members of the local First Nation police force joined students for friendly matches of Super Smash Bros. 2v2!
Esports with Purpose
At the heart of this tour is PMM (Performance Mindset Mindfulness)—our unique system that combines:
- Mental wellness coaching
- Fitness and mobility exercises
- Pre-game meditation
- Nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits
Students engaged in friendly competition, learned high-performance mindset techniques, and even had the chance to test their skills in Rocket League challenges and Smash Bros. mini-tournaments with prizes on the line.
Police vs. Students – Building Bonds
One of the highlights was our 2v2 Super Smash Bros. matches featuring First Nation police officers going head-to-head with students. These fun and respectful games brought out laughter, competition, and a deeper sense of community unity.
Wellness First
Before any games began, students joined us for:
- Guided performance breathing and meditation
- Dynamic stretches and movement prep
- A conversation on mental health awareness and focus in competitive and real-life environments
🍎 Healthy Fuel & Good Vibes
Thanks to our sponsor, Supplements World Canada, students received free healthy snacks to fuel their bodies throughout the day. From protein bars to electrolyte drinks, we kept our young gamers powered and focused.
Why We Do This
Lotus 8 is on a mission to uplift youth through esports, but more importantly, through holistic wellness, cultural pride, and community support. Every stop is more than just games—it's about planting seeds of empowerment in the next generation.
Thank you to Dakota Plains First Nation, Dakota Tipi First Nation, the community organizers, and the First Nation police for making this stop one to remember.
Next stop—coming soon. Stay tuned.
