This year’s Comic Con Winnipeg was electric — and Lotus 8 Esports once again delivered a weekend full of competition, community, and wellness in partnership with Manitoba Scholastic Esports Association (MSEA) and Comic Con.

$400 1v1 Super Smash Bros. Tournament

From October 24–26, the RBC Convention Centre transformed into an esports hub as Lotus 8 hosted an intense $400 1v1 Super Smash Bros. tournament on Floor 2E. Players battled through qualifying rounds for a coveted spot in the Top 4 Finals, which took place on the main stage in the York Ballroom — where the energy was unmatched and the crowd roared with excitement as Manitoba’s best Smash competitors went head-to-head.

Community, Giveaways, and Connection

Beyond the competition, the Lotus 8 booth kept the energy high with raffles, giveaways, and live interactions that brought fans, students, and gaming enthusiasts together. From esports fans to first-time players, everyone had a chance to experience the excitement and learn about the Performance Mindset Mindfulness (PMM) system — Lotus 8’s signature blend of wellness, meditation, and performance coaching designed to elevate both gameplay and mindset.

Esports Meets Wellness

At the heart of every Lotus 8 activation is the message of “Esports with Purpose.” Comic Con was no exception — students and fans learned how mindfulness, physical conditioning, and mental health play a critical role in performance. The Lotus 8 team continues to push the boundaries of what it means to be an athlete in esports, making history for Winnipeg and Canada on the world stage.
